Low Income Home Energy Assistance

Assistance on a one-time basis to low income families to meet heating and cooling energy costs and to prevent energy from being terminated in health crisis situations. Funds are paid directly to utility companies and vendors.

Alabama Business Charitable Trust Fund Trust

The nonprofit Alabama Business Charitable Trust Fund Trust (ABC Trust) was created by Alabama Power in 1992 to supplement other energy assistance efforts. The Trust works with community action agencies to help cover heating and cooling costs of low-income families and those struggling with temporary financial problems

Project Help

Utility assistance for eligible individuals and families funded by Guntersville Electric and Municipal Utilities Board of Albertville. Project Help is a collective effort in your community. Weatherization Assistance Program

The Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) enables low-income families to reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient. Funds are used to improve the energy performance of dwellings families in need, using the most advanced technologies and testing procedures available in the housing industry.

Farmers Market Nutrition Program

Emergency Food & Shelter Program

Utility assistance and/or rent assistance for eligible individuals and families.

Personal Finance Classes

Individual or group classes offered by Regions Bank to help establish household budgets and learn how to save through use of coupons, and other savings tips.

State General Fund

$50.00 food gift card for eligible seniors 60 or over.
$45.00 public transportation for eligible seniors 55 or over.

Community Service Block Grant

Utility/propane assistance for eligible individuals and families 55 or older. $50.00 food gift card for eligible seniors 55 or over. $45.00 public transportation for eligible seniors 55 or older.
